This privacy policy includes important information about your personal data, and we encourage you to read it carefully.

We care about the security and privacy of the personal data you share with us, and we care about your privacy. Accordingly, Wattif EV AS guarantees the right of privacy and protection of your personal data and we ensure this by taking the highest measures when handling and collecting any personal data, in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including EU regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament (GDPR) and Norwegian legislation.

This privacy policy describes how, and to what extent, Wattif EV AS collects and processes your personal data when you use our services, including use of our website and mobile app for Android and iOS.

  1. Data controller

On behalf of Wattif EV AS (reg.no 928 054 705), the CEO is the data controller for the processing of personal data regarding your use of our services.

  1. What personal data do we collect and use?

We collect personal data for use only in the context of the services provided by us to you as a user. Such data may be used to identify you, contact you, provide services and adequate support to you, and/or improve the services provided to you.

Depending on the legal basis including the purpose for our processing, we may collect the personal data as described below:

  1. a) Personal data about you as a user

To fulfil our obligations towards you as a user, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, account information, payment card number, transaction history, place, time and duration of the services used, as well as charging consumption and consumption pattern.

Further, we collect location data on where our charging service has been used (service usage data). We do NOT track the location of our users.

We also collect information on the OS, browser and device type used by you when using our services (behavioural data).

  1. b) Use of personal data to send you newsletters/marketing e-mails

 When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your e-mail address to be able to send you the newsletters, if you have given your consent to this. You can unsubscribe at any time following the instructions at the bottom of the received newsletter.

  1. c) Use of personal data when you use our contact form, or send us a message or an e-mail

When you fill out any of our contact forms, or send us a message or an e-mail, we collect your name, phone number and e-mail address to contact you, if you have given your consent to this.

  1. d) Use of personal data when you download our online resources and reports

When you download any of our online resources and reports, we collect your e-mail address, if you have given your consent to this.

  1. e) Use of personal data when you apply for a job with us

 When you apply for a job with us through our website, we use a job application portal operated by an external service provider on our behalf, for processing and handling your job application. When you apply for a job with us, the service provider collects your general contact information, CV, information about your education, competencies and skills, career and work experiences, and other relevant information such as your picture, social security number, job certificates, work permit, work history, reference and other relevant background information if requested by us.

For relevant candidates the above mentioned information will be forwarded to us by the external service provider. We will use this information to determine your eligibility for the job and select the right candidate for the position in question. If you have given your consent to this, we may also retain your data for the purpose of identifying you as a potential candidate for future suitable vacancies and/or to inform you of future suitable vacancies.

  1. How do we collect your personal data?

We collect personal data from you when you register or enter information on our website or our mobile app, subscribe to newsletters/marketing e-mails, fill out a form or contact us by e-mail.

Behavioural data, usage data and other data related to the way you use our services is collected in an automated manner and through system logs.

 4. The legal basis for processing of your personal data

The processing of data mentioned under section 2 a) above is used to fulfil the agreement with you regarding our services. The basis of this processing is GDPR Article (1) (b).

If you have given your consent to personal data being used for other purposes described in this privacy policy that are not covered by an agreement with us, such as marketing emails and the use of certain cookies, cfr. sections 2 b), c), and d) above, and section 8 below, then the basis of this processing is GDPR Article 6 (1) (a). You may withdraw your consent to such use at any time.

The processing of data mentioned under section 2 e) above is used to take necessary steps at the request of you prior to entering into a contract with you. The basis of this processing is GDPR Article 6 (1) (b).

In addition, we may also process personal data when it is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us. The basis of this processing is GDPR Article 6 (1) (f).

  1. Disclosure of personal data to third parties

As a rule, we do not share personal data with parties outside the EU. Anonymised usage data is shared with third parties that provide us with analysis and intelligence tools with regard to improving our services.

In order to fulfil our obligations as agreed with you, from time to time we need to share your personal data with third-party operators in the case when you are using a charge point of another operator that has a roaming agreement with us, and therefore might process data on our behalf.

We may provide such third-party operators with access to user information and personally identifiable information, to carry out the services they are performing for you or for us, and for us to you. We will ensure that all processing of your personal data is carried out in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as with this privacy policy.

We do not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose personal data to any other third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so.

  1. Storage and erasure of personal data

Physical copies of contracts and contractual documents containing personal data are stored for 10 (ten) years after the end of the contractual obligation between Wattif EV and the user, and thereafter erased.

Personal data received from you or collected in connection with our services to you, and which are not related to contracts or contractual documents, is stored in our active user register for a maximum of three years from last contact or use by you, and thereafter erased.

Data we are obliged to keep according to the Norwegian Accounting Act (in Norwegian: Bokføringsloven) will be stored for up to 5 years, in accordance with the requirements of the law, and thereafter erased.

  1. Information security

 When collecting and handling your personal data, we follow strict standards with regard to the privacy, security and protection of such data. We have implemented the necessary organizational and technical measures to avoid any unwarranted access, loss or unauthorized use of your personal data, including both physical and virtual access control.

A cookie is a small file that is temporarily placed on your hard drive. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you with tailored content and operations, and they allow us to analyze web traffic.

We use cookies to collect data and analyze the performance of our website. These cookies allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. We are not able to identify the user based on this information.

Any material changes to this privacy policy will be notified to users either via e-mail or with a message in the mobile app.
